  • Can I skip a rung??

I was reading the sticky "HOW TO OWL" and I read that you can skip a rung if you want and than go back to it later?? Did I read that right?? I'm just starting rung 1 today but I would really love to go right to Dairy or Nuts first? Any advise from the pro's on this??

You CAN do that, but as it says in the sticky "They strongly cautioned against adding a higher level rung and then jumping back down the ladder like 1,9,2,3,4, etc bwcause the higher rungs werre higher GI and could effect your craving controls and sabatage your efforts."

So keep that in mind if you're going to skip the first rung for now.

Usually we suggest that if you want to skip a rung you do a couple of weeks extra on the previous one, but as Daity is the second rung that wouldnt really work.

Better to add some more vegetables first and do the vegetable rung to allow yourself 5 more net carbs of the induction-legal veggies and get used to eating more carbs before you move onto a rung which some people have problems with I would have thought.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
