  • Major progress: Time to move on.

    Pounds lost:

    1st Week: 5
    2nd Week: 2
    3rd Week: 3
    4th Week: 0
    5th Week: 1
    6th Week: 2

Hey, 9 pounds to go! Lost more than I thought I would this week. At this point, I guess I better move on to OWL. Then for the last 5 pounds, I can do Pre-Maintenance. I have not been looking forward to this part because (a) I absolutely hate the hassle of measuring foods, (b) I tend to eat take-out foods a lot, and (c) I don't like rabbit food or much else on the ladder. I do like mixed nuts, red wine, and green beans, though. Maybe try a little collard greens with bacon fat. I have to be careful with the mixed nuts or peanuts, though. If I get started, I can sit down and eat an entire can.

welcome to OWL I would suggest you read the premaintnenacne chapter cause Dr Atkins in there discusses food you know you have issues with. he calls them additctions and says just don't do them period!

so skip thepeanuts and pick one you don't have issues with. I had to go with raw unsalted and any of the roasted stuff in the cans andjars was all or none for me.

      Happy OWLing. enjoy those collards.

I measure out an EXACT serving size (I literally count out 28 almonds) and put them in a little plastic baggy and take them to work as an afternoon snack. That way, when I'm done with them, that's the end... no more nuts for the day! Works great for me!
