  • Today is my commitment day

    Although I've been maintaining for quite some time, I feel the need to recommit to doing things correctly. I haven't actually fallen off any wagon, nor have I grown out of my clothes; it is just that I feel unsettled.

    Here is my fitday journal entry for today. This is the first time (I think) that I've actually recorded anything in the journal section of fitday.

    I feel like my life has gotten out of control, for some reason.
    I don't know whether my extra (above where I wish to be) weight is muscle, or whether it is fat. I'm seeing myself through the light of "fat goggles", and although my clothing still fits, I still can't tolerate my "flabby" stomach.

    I can't remember if it was that bad going into Basic Training, or if I just forgot how bad it was, while I was so involved in training.
    Now, I will have to get back on track, and today marks the beginning (again).
    I will resume recording in fitday, and focus on the little things, hoping that they will help the "big picture".

    Good for you!

    For us on OWL and Pre-Maintenance, it's easy to fall into sloppy habits because we get too comfortable counting carbs, estimating our foods, etc. I'm sure it's the same for Maintenance people as well.

      Good for you! It's great that we can keep in check before we actually slide. This board is awesome for me for that reason among so many others.
