I thought I was doing induction by the book, when I re-read a few chapters in DANDR and found that I was eating too many vegetables on the acceptable foods list. Other than the vegetables, everything else was strict. I learned from my first go round on Atkins a couple of years ago that Franken foods are the death of my Atkins way of life. This time around, I have even given up caffeine. I have lost 10 pounds in the last 4 weeks (1,3,3,3). I am happy with the weight loss. I have no cravings whatsoever and feel in control of what I am eating. However, the first time around I did not go by the book and ate frankenfoods and never did move through the phases.

    My questions:

Since I did not do a "clean" induction, should I go back to induction and do better with the veggies?

Move on into OWL (first run) since I seem to be already there?

Another confession. I have been real bad at measuring what I eat and keeping accurate track of carbs. I have a good idea, but not down to within a quarter of a cup for instance. I know I have to do this to get my CCLL for moving on later.

I would appreciate any tips on measuring romaine lettuce (lightly packed?), and other things.

    Sorry for asking so much.
I hope this is the right forum. It seemed like the best place to post.

    Thanks,

    Re: Confused

we can never go back and redo the initial induction and never should try to. once you have done your 14 days clena or not you need to move to OWL or clean up your act and do extended. the 14 days is a time to learn your body and its responce to Atkins which you did to see if you are metabolically resistant you aren't and to detox which you did.

Since you like the veggies and lose well eating them moving to OWL rung one makes sense for you.

weigh the foods and you can very accuratrely know the carbs counts. the USDA online site has them in weighted out in ounces and grams if your counter doesn't
