I thought I was doing induction by the book, when I re-read a few chapters in DANDR and found that I was eating too many vegetables on the acceptable foods list. Other than the vegetables, everything else was strict. I learned from my first go round on Atkins a couple of years ago that Franken foods are the death of my Atkins way of life. This time around, I have even given up caffeine. I have lost 10 pounds in the last 4 weeks (1,3,3,3). I am happy with the weight loss. I have no cravings whatsoever and feel in control of what I am eating. However, the first time around I did not go by the book and ate frankenfoods and never did move through the phases.
My questions:
Since I did not do a "clean" induction, should I go back to induction and do better with the veggies?
Move on into OWL (first run) since I seem to be already there?
Another confession. I have been real bad at measuring what I eat and keeping accurate track of carbs. I have a good idea, but not down to within a quarter of a cup for instance. I know I have to do this to get my CCLL for moving on later.
I would appreciate any tips on measuring romaine lettuce (lightly packed?), and other things.
Sorry for asking so much.
I hope this is the right forum. It seemed like the best place to post.
Thanks,
Rich
