Jennifer, I wouldn't sweat it. Just watch and see how you react to it.

Ya know, TOM is due in 2 days and I guess I'm pms'ing, lol...I guess it could have been worse...but still...I'm not going to sweat it too bad. Since I am skipping the berries and melons and alcohol rungs, it might be okay but I have to watch it now....I normally wouldn't even have it in the house but hubby came home grinning from ear to ear presenting the choc milk to me...I'd hate to waste 4 bucks when that stuff only lasts a week or so once opened....

Husbands...what would we do without them?

I would use the word punish. Look at how far you have come. One little deal like that is not the end of the world. It could have been regular chocolate milk

As you go through OWL, you'll realize you have to be accountable to yourself. So, I'll do this just once, since you are on rung 1....

Why do you have a carton of CarbDown Chocolate when that beverage is technically not allowed on Induction, and shouldn't be added until the dairy rung?

You don't have to answer it in this forum or in a PM, but just think about it.

You'll notice in my 2nd post that my hubby brought it home. He thought he was doing a sweet thing, he was so proud of himself...and me pms'ing, yep, I drank some....

                Re: I screwed up

I think you have a good attitude about this, Disco. You know you made a mistake and you feel bad about it, but it looks like it's not pushing you off the deep-end into a really bad cheat. This was kind of an "improper phase" action, and while it's good to recognize that it wasn't the best choice, I don't think you should beat yourself up about it much longer.

And believe me, I understand about well-meaning hubbies who come bearing low-carb food.

This is a way of eating for life, and you have to be able to live with it... induction's induction... you'll make it through to the other side, I know it.
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

                  Re: I screwed up

This isn't a huge slip on your part---it's not like you ate a pan of lasagne and three ice cream cones for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But just be aware as you go through OWL, you'll be learning about your body's reaction to certain foods and developing strategies to cope with things like impulsive eating, cravings, etc. So you will become more thoughtful and aware about your food choices. If you look at the successful maintainers, they are thoughtful about their food choices and use various strategies to help them cope. So, try to start doing that now as you go through OWL.

Some folks fall off OWL, because they don't develop coping strategies and that extra ounce of nuts leads to 5 net carbs of chocolate chips which leads to 15 net carbs of graham crackers, etc. etc.

The dairy rung is rung 3. So the next time hubby brings it home, an unopened carton of that stuff could last a long time. In fact, you can freeze it, opened or unopened, without changing the flavor or texture. (Believe me, I've had to throw alot of fruit and veggies into my freezer because well-meaning folks gave them to me.)
