  • Does weight loss slow as I approach my CCLL?

    Heres a question I had...

Does my weight loss slow the higher I move up in the rung and approach my CCLL? Or is it binary.. you're either loosing or you're not?

    Help me out here gang.

It might slow down or it might just stop when you reach your CCLL.

No... ha... does weightloss proportional to how close I stick to an induction routine....

For example, does it make sense to stay in OWL or just do an extended induction assuming I want to
loose the weight as soon as possible?

As you approach your CCLL, weight loss does slow down. That's pretty much the idea, that you find your CCLM along the way too (the point at which you maintain) and drop it back down if you still have weight to lose, so that you lose the last 10-15 pounds VERY slowly and give yourself a better chance to get to know your body better, and therefore KEEP the weight off. It's a good idea to go through OWL slowly, taking your time and trying different foods along the way, adding only in 5 carb increments. Now, that being said, someone who exercises is going to have a higher CCLL, and therefore be able to try a larger variety of higher carb foods along the OWL road, still losing, though slower as you approach your CCLL. You do not, and most likely will not, get through all of the rungs in OWL, especially the higher carb ones. Some of them will wait for pre-maintenance. You don't have to go to OWL unless you feel ready, though it is recommended that by the time you get close (10-15 pounds from goal) you change to OWL to get the benefit of the time it takes to get through a few of the rungs.

I know that's probably more info than you wanted, but I just woke up and have a ton of stuff going through my head! I hope at least the first few sentences makes sense and answers your question! LOL
