  • Mock french toast

    OH guys I'm hurting here. I have been dying to try that french toast and this morning tried it again for the second time. The first time I made it, I trashed it cause it tasted so bad.. I think I did something wrong and ended up eating just eggs.
    This time I used;
    1 oz pork skins
    2 eggs
    1 tbs. cin.
    1 tbs. van. ex.
    2 pks. sugar sub.
    2 tbs. butter

    It was much better and wow did I get full fast but then I went to add it into my fitday and I'm already at 10 carbs and its only 10am.

    I'm not sure if I added something I wasn't suppose to or what the heck I'm going to do now for lunch or dinner to keep my carbs at 25 GRRRRR.....

    Did you deduct the fibre?

    Fitday shows a Tablespoon of cinnamon as having 5.43 total carbs less 3.69 fibre carbs!!
    Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

      was there sugar in your vanillia extract?

      where did you get that recipe from? our recipe uses 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and vanillia not 3 teaspoons ( 1 tablespoon)

      if you tell fitday to track fiber in the goals section it will list the fiber under your carbs and you can subtract it to get net carbs. I just plugged your dtuff in there and got 10 with 4 of fiber for a net of 6. did you have some syrup or somethn=ing else?

        Try the Atkins syrup if you have to have it. It's a little watery but not loaded with sugar alcohols - 0 carbs as a matter of fact. Also, I don't even use the cinnamon with mine - I find it only contributes the slightest to the taste for me. I sprinkle the sugar substitute on top after adding the Atkins syrup so that I taste it more and use less. Also, I find that if I keep them very thin, they taste much better. Hope that helps for next time!

          I'll get it right yet! And i'm sure mine was way too thick so I'll have to thin them out some. I think I found what part of the problem was. When I use my fitday I just do a search of the item and add it then fix the amount. I think that is messing me up a lot. because their ingredients are not matching half of mine. No sugar in the vanilla extract thank God! And I have not been subtracting my fiber from anything. This is why I have been going over, I'll bet you anything GRRRRR......where is my EASY BUTTON????
