Hi, I was making myself some chicken fajitas and I was going to use some chili powder instead of taco seasoning because that has carbs but when I looked up chili powder on Fitday it says it contains 4 carbs am I allowed to have this?

Re: Chili Powder
if you read chapter 11 of DANDR you will see spices are listed as acceptable you just have to be sure the ingredients in your spice mix are legal no sugar and count the carbs in them in your 20 net for the day.by the book atkinseer

Re: Chili Powder
Hi Kimberly,
Like 2big said, if you check Chapter 11, and then go to the Rules of Induction and acceptable food list...you'll see a heading titled "Spices". There are not individual spices listed, but it just says "all spices to taste, just make sure there is no added sugar".
I looked up chili powder on fitday.com and for 1 Tablespoon it's 4.1 g carbs and 2.57 g fiber...so it's pretty low, plus you wouldn't be eating a whole tablespoon at a time (I don't think??)Shelly
