  • Vinegar...to be or not to be...

    Hey Everybody,

Is there a difference in the natural sugar content for white vinegar and apple cider vinegar?

I use fitday, and it only lists, vinegar.

Of course the bottle says 0 carbs...(nice try Heinz) but fitday lists otherwise and I'm going by that.

I hope it's the same, because the cider vinegar is so much better mixed with olive oil for salad dressing..

    Thank you,

    Scooter

You might want to use other nutrient calculators if fitday doesn't have it or if you suspect fitday is "off".

Technically vinegar shouldn't have carbs and if it does it's a very, very very small amount. But some vinegars like balsamic has some carbs because the manufacturers "doctor" by adding grape juice in order to make the acidity more palatable.

I couldn't find the apple cider vinegar in Fitday either, so I added it. It's a lovely little feature that allows you to add anything and its' nutritional value. Give 'er a whirl!
