  • Water Question???

I was reading a magazine today and it had an article about water. It said you can add slices of fruit to flavor it a little bit, does anyone here do that? I think it would help me with drinking more water

Ohhh Yeahhh They Do it Out here in most of the high class restaurants .. i have seen everything from slices of lemons and limes , apples and peaches all the way to pieces of watermelons and berries.

Personally i dont think it adds that much flavor to the water, i think its more for decoration However I mean if u were to sqeeuze the lemons or what not real hard am sure u will get some of the flavor ...

haha have fun squeezing the watermelon and berries

Right now I'm on the berry rung so I figured I'd slice up some strawberries and add those along with some raspberries and blackberries to see how it turns out. I have a horrible time drinking water so maybe this will help

Ohhh ok well good luck to you !

have you tried the already flavored waters they sell at the store ? I like them way better and they have 0 carbs as well .

you know what you could do is mashing them up almost like a puree and adding carbonated water such as perier to that . ( or club soda i guess)

My mom always did that for brunch ureed berries or peaches in a glass and poured over some champagne. So im thinking adding the perier would have the same effect.

        well good luck

I *love* pitchers of water with sliced cucumbers in it. I know it sounds odd, but it is wonderfully refreshing! Give it a shot

MAMOSIS !!!!!!!!!! I couldnt think of it to save my life while i was writing the message , it was at the tip of my tongue , haha well i just remembered they call it mamosis and it is ohhhhh sooooo yummy with champagne , but perier or club soda will do in your case

I really think that way you get the most fruit flavor if u puree it .

ohhh and Brook those cucumbers sound ohhhh soooo refreshing !!!

I agree with Bellezza. I don't think those slices add flavor to water, unless you squeeze the juice into the water. In fact, the slices make the water taste "stale" to me. I do better if the water is very cold and isn't tap or bottled water. My municipal water supply has a strong chlorine smell and taste and bottled water tastes vaguely plastic to me, so I tend to use a filter pitcher to remove the excess "stuff" from my tap water.

But give the slices a try and see if it is to your liking. If it is, then you have a new way to make water more drinkable.
