I need some help here making the decision to either stay in OWL or go back to Induction. It seems to me at least I am not losing the weight I want fast enough, I want to get down to 200 pounds by October but I don't think it's going to happen if I stay in OWL. I just don't know what to do right now, I'm not looking to get a quick fix because I love this WOE and will continue to the rest of my life. I guess I'm just really frustrated right now...

Re: Thinking about going back to Induction...
Welcome to the stall club! LOL!
You've lost a LOT of weight and your body wants to slow down for a while. I think there's a sticky somewhere about this.
Don't sweat the slow down, it's NORMAL! At this time, you may want to measure your body. You'll be amazed at the results.
Sometimes it's the measurements that we "see in the mirror" more than the weight we drop on the scale that motivate us the most.
Good luck

You might also want to review any foods you've added to your menu. Sometimes individual foods can "slow down" your rate of loss.
The most common food groups that "slow" people down are artificial sweeteners, cheese, nuts and some fruits.
So review your menues.
Another thing to consider is that one of the things we need to learn during OWL is our CCLL. As you near your CCLL, your loss might slow down. Have you found your CCLL yet? If so, what is it? And are you certain you are eating at least 5 net carbs below that number?
As Dessert said, going to Induction might not necessarily mean you will lose weight "faster".~Megs~

Re: Thinking about going back to Induction...
Awhile ago, thought the same way - then someone reminded me you can do modified OWL - reduce the carbs, but not eliminate your rung foods that have caused you no troubles. Obviously, you can't just keep adding carbs without slowing down your loss rate eventually. Picking up extra workout was good idea, too.~Susan

Re: Thinking about going back to Induction...
Good job sticking with it. I too slowed down when I first started OWL, but it didn't have anything to do with extra veggies. Just a temporary adjustment and then WHOOSH!female, 33, 5'2"

Scales are evil. Scales do not tell you if you've lost a pound of fat or gained a pound of muscle.
Use a measuring tape and save your sanity.~Megs~

Re: Thinking about going back to Induction...
Read G-Mom's thread in the Main Forum. She had to buy new clothes for work and was absolutely amazed that she fit into clothing sizes alot smaller than her weight would dictate.
No one will know how much you weigh unless you carry a sign that says "Hi. Today I weigh ____ pounds!" But you and they will see how much slimmer and fit you are.~Megs~
