Sam, definitely! They are really easy to overeat. I have to stay away from peanuts, or ONLY buy ONE bag of ONE or TWO ounces. Almonds and macadamias are a little easier.

Try to only use them in some other recipe...like muffin or ground up as a breading for chicken parmesan or something like that. It gives you taste and is a whole lot easier for portion control.

That's a great idea. i was so excited about them because they're perfect for work snacks, but I think that's a much better idea.

        Re: Nuts!!

I try to limit myself to only 1 ounce for a non active day. But I will go 2 ounces when I have gigs scheduled. They are great for energy. But I agree, they are way too tempting for overeating.

I'll have to try your suggestion Joy, I like the idea of breading, that'd be pretty awesome, I think I read that somewhere else from you.

Pretty cool....I love this WOE!!! It never ceases to amaze me the different legal things we can do!!

Who ever thought that 'dieting' (while I'm still losing weight - it will be a way of life) could be fun. I look forward to trying out new suggestions and ideas.

The other night I did the berry smoothie....I thought I was in heaven!!!

I usually buy unsalted almonds as the salted ones are so difficult to stop eating once I start!!

I get those ziploc snack bags and portion them out into the bags. We have a basket in the kitchen to put them in. The kids love it also for easy grab snack.

I geuss I must be the only one who doesn't have a nut issue but since I only buy them raw portion control is created in measuring out the amount for the recipe and I know only make one!

Elizellen, you're right about getting the unsalted nuts...much easier to portion control. Must be the salt is what's hard to control
