No i didn't. and to be honest, I am likely never to eat the stuff again.
I am not sure if there is a different between English popcorn and US popcorn, but the english version is caked in sugar. (or salt) either way, a definitey no no for me now.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!
I tried it and did fine ..it is just I dont eat snacks ..I like meals!!! ...so I do not eat it very often ...corn does not seem to trigger me at all thank goodness I am even able to use cornmeal again now
Yes, I did/do eat popcorn. But not the crap in the microwaveable bags because they're filled with hydrogenated oil and who-knows-what.
I buy the popcorn kernels (walmart sells it the cheapest). And either pop the corn in a large pot with some oil or I toss it into a paper lunch bag for my own "microwave" popcorn. It's also easier to measure out 5 net carbs worth of popcorn using the kernels. For the brand I use, it's about 2 teaspoons of the kernels and that pops to about 1 1/4 cups. Eat it slowly and you won't feel the need to have a huge bucket.
Yes, I eat popcorn as well, and I measure out however much I want for popcorn in kernels and then I air-pop it too... my husband and I like to melt real butter in the microwave and pour it over the popcorn. We like experimenting with spices to come up with our own spice blends to mix with the butter before we dump it onto the popcorn, or sometimes we just shake sea salt onto the plainly buttered popcorn.
I'm glad I tried reintroducing popcorn into my diet because it's never stalled me and a little bit of popcorn during a date night at home with a rental DVD is one of life's little joys.
I don't want to touch the stuff at the movie theatre or the stuff in the microwaveable bag with a ten-foot pole though. I shudder to think what sort of trans fats are in that oil.
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.
Oh yeah, eating popcorn with real melted butter is a treat. Sometimes I don't melt the butter. I just let it soften and dip the popcorn into it----slows me down eating the stuff!
being a popcorn vaccumcleaner I was very scared to even try it as Dr Atkins warns in the premaintnenace and maintnenance chapters to avoid foods that were problem foods before you did Atkins so for the first 2 yrs I didn't then I had a cup of popped corn and stopped. I didn't need to eat the whole pan nor did I need to fix more cause I could hold more. I have had it 3 times since but am still very leery of eating it as a regular food. I use Dr Atkins great statement about sweets and desserts should be occasional treats not everyday events with my popcorn. I have untrained myself to need to eat when i view TV or a movie and will not retrain myself to do that so I don't miss it at theathers.
I eat popcorn on a somewhat regular basis, in about 1 cup servings. Its a good snack for me, I find, as its not so many carbs and keeps me satisfied for ages. There's just something about that crunch. I too buy the kernels, and make my popcorn on my own - I have one of one of these that makes the best tasting popcorn I've ever had. Its safe to say it was my favourite wedding present.
