    I went through them all. Had some problems with individual foods, which was good because I know now to either avoid them or be extra cautious whenever I do eat them.

      Berries here. I REALLY need to work on portion control with berries.

      (Modified OWL-moving up rungs for convenience when travelling, keeping carbs moderate)
      Foods I cannot have-
      Black beans.- instant headache and upset belly.
      spaghetti squash mixed with tomatoes- ravenous


      I Made it!!!! TWICE!!!! (10/06 and 1/07!!!)

          (and good for you on quitting smoking!! I quit 4.5 years ago, Its tougher then quitting carbs Great work!)

            I think quitting carbs was harder!!!!! Somehow, I got out of ketosis when I quit..probably overeating my atkins carbs....but let me tell you, the sugar cravings just about drove me crazy...they literally drove me to tears and an argument with my DH!!!! I had to go back to induction.

              Starchy veggies here. So happy to have lima beans again!

              If I can get myself in gear, I'll be in grains soon! I planned to move to grains at 130, but instead of losing that one stubborn pound, I've gained 3 at last count (perhaps I should stop counting!) and am now back up to 134. Ack! I didn't cheat -- just too loose with portion control again. That's my biggest challenge in OWL. So now I have to lose 4 pounds to get to grains. Wish me luck -- I really miss oatmeal!

                    TOC: Why don't you buy snack bags and portion the fruit in 5 carb increments. I have to do that with my fruits and nuts.

                      This is a real good idea! When I get to my nuts, berries, etc. rung I think this is what I'm going to do to help me.

                          I am in the last rung the grains but so far have really just stuck to the low carb wraps, have not tried to eat rice yet or spaghetti, don't know if I ever will as long as I am content without it. Was reading about the popcorn, don't think I can go there cause when I want popcorn I want A LOT of popcorn.

                            I hear you on the popcorn -- but I found out now that I'm satisfied with 1/2 cup of ice cream (I used to eat a full bowl) so by the time I get to popcorn I may not want as much as I used to and it may not be a problem.

                            Have you gotten satisfied with your food easier now than before you started the program?

                              Oh I definitely know I am eating less. I think between portion control and satity (sp?) I am content with less.
