  • Silly question

My hip has been aching lately (have no clue why), so I picked up some glucosamine chondroitin at my local healthfood store this morning. I just looked at the bottle and it said 2 carbs per serving (a serving being 4 capsules). It states that it does not contain sugar, and I'm only planning on taking 2 capsules (1 carb). My brain is telling me I'm just paranoid and of course I'll be fine weight-wise, but just wanted to run it by the "pros" out there! Thanks!

    Re: Silly question

Capsules and pills usually use a starch or starch-like medium to hold the pill together. Re-read the ingredients to see what they used.

Okay. This is everything under Supplement Facts:
          Sodium 10%
          Magnesium 110 mg
          Glucosamine HCI 1500 mg
Chondroitin Sodium Sulfate (from Bovine cartilage) 1200 mg
ConcenTrace Trace Minerals (with Alfalfa (?) ) 800 mg

I don't know anything about alfalfa except that it's a sprout. Maybe that's where the carbs are coming from? And that's it, other than what I mentioned in my other post.

is this a NOW product and this is what is added?
Trace Minerals with ConcenTrace® is concentrated from the Great Salt Lake in Utah. This product is dehydrated with alfalfa to produce a full spectrum, balanced trace mineral supplement.
