Hemp Seed Tortillas.

Anyone have or tried these things?

Ive been having problems finding soy tortillas that dont contain wheat or oat flour. I was at a natural grocery this weekend with my boyfriend and found... HempSeed tortillas. I figured, what the heck, Ill try them. They end up being 2g Net Crabs per tortilla (roughly, a fajita size, not the huge burrito size).

(ingredients-Organic Sunflower Seeds, Filtered Water, Organic Flaxseed, Organic Pumpkin Seeds, Organic Hemp Flour, Organic Hemp Seeds, Organic Amaranth Flour, Organic Unrefined Sunflower Oil (non-hydrogenated), Organic Sesame Seeds, Organic Arrowroot, Organic Nutmeg, Non-Aluminum Baking Powder, Organic Cayenne.)

I was so excited to try this last night. I made a fried egg, sauteed some shrooms, diced up some sausage. wrapped it all up.... took a bite....

And spit it out. Talk about repulsive flavor. YECH. I REALLY want these to be edible. Im going to try and make enchiladas and cover the flavor.

Anyone have ideas on what I can do to make these halfway edible? They have a VERY strong flavor that I cant quite describe.

if you don't like the flavor don't ruin your enchiladas. BTW Amaranth is a gran too.

try making NOT2LATE's induction rolls using her jelly roll method as your container for your enchiladas. when you get to rung 9 you can have your soy with oats ones or even real corn ones.

Smoke some pot before you eat them then they will taste delicious!

I have hemp seeds that i add to smoothies and flax buns and they are not bad at all, I did buy hemp flour last year and it was the most disgusting stuff i'd ever tasted, it looked, smelled and tasted like dirt and grass clippings. not that i would really know what those 2 things taste like from experience, i'm guess if i were to eat them that's what they'd taste like

Ya know Jen, thats kinda the taste. best way to describe is it tastes like grass smells.

Thanks 2Big. Ill try the rolls instead. I was so bummed that I couldnt find the tortillas that Joy had suggested and then halfway excited to try these. Good call on not ruining my enchiladas, its not worth it!

OK hemp seed tortillas ...when they made them they had to know pot jokes would come of it ..tortillas and peanut butter...were the munchie food of my decade that is for sure!!!
