  • Whole Milk

    I've read in a couple of threads that some people on here have drank whole milk and did fine. I'm past the dairy rung and was wondering if I was allowed to have this or maybe try one cup every other day to see how it effects me?

    Try it out if you like. However, in OWL, 5 net carbs of something is all you get to add at one time. So use fitday.com to figure out how much whole milk 5 net carbs will be.

      Ok great I wasn't sure if whole milk was allowed or not, I've been craving it today for some reason.

          Dairy rung is the place to try out milk products. Like I said, see how much milk is equal to 5 net carbs and try it out, following the OWL rules, like you've been doing for every other OWL food you've been adding.

          Lynn makes a good point that what might work for some, might not work for everyone. But you already knew that since you've been OWLing for a while.

            Thanks I went to Fitday and figured out how much was equal to five carbs and tried some. It was nice to have Milk again but I think I'll only try it a couple days a week to be safe. I have increased my water intake going from pretty much not even drinking a glass a day to 100 ounces so far.
