  • Did something really really bad...

    I had drank a bunch of water and for some reason an hour later I got realy really hungry so I went to the cupboard and grabbed the box of multigrain crackers. I really need to get back on track tomorrow and do induction again for a few days. I feel horrible now for what I did...

        If you are still in ketosis there is no need to go back to induction. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on the wagon.

        Any idea "why" you grabbed the crackers? See if you can figure out why it happened and then the next time you will be prepared to fight those crackers!

          I have no clue why I grabbed them over everything else, there's chips and other junk food up in the cupboards but those crackers were calling my name... I guess in my mind I was thinking "At least it's a healthy choice and not a bad of chips." I can't make excuses though because I knew what I was doing. I don't have anymore strips to see if I'm in Ketosis so I have no way to tell, I'll have to go out later and grab some more. I honestly think that whole milk is going to be a problem for me so I'm giving it up. I was drinking Hood's Low Carb Milk and didn't have any problems with that so maybe I'll give it a try again.

            Do you still have the physical signs of ketosis?

            And.........I guess the worse of many evils. I find when I am looking for a "crunch". I can grab a stick of celery, LEAVE THE KITCHEN IMMEDIATELY and get busy doing something else. Works for me.

                Bren you missed her topic about wanting to try whole milk and it looks like the lactose sugars in the milk did her in with some cravings.
                Good for you going back to the hood stuff if you need to be drinking milk. As Bren said if you are still in ketosis and if you didn't eat too many you should be you can stay right where you are. if not then a few days of induction eating until you are back in ketosis is just what Dr Atkins says to do.

                  Our bodies are such weird vessels, the milk could have been the reason you grabbed those crackers. Thats why its so important, when you add new foods to OWL that you check out your bodies reaction to it, not only the very first time but even after a few times. What one person can tolerate, another person might go screaming to the potato chips.
