what should I do. I am even too scared to move past the legumes rung. I am still NOT sure what my ccl is (is that what it's called?). I am guessing somewhere around the upper 30's or so. BUT im not sure. How can I tell exactly? I guess I try to play it safe.... Is there a surefire way to tell? I maybe could even be as high as 50, but I don't know. I know that I am still in ketosis at about 35 or so... But im scared! I don't even want to go to the whole grain rung or the fruit rung. But I guess I need to grow some cahones and move on! Need encouragement. I guess I kept tellign myself as soon as I get to 130 (bascially goal) I would THEN do pre-maintenance. I know that is NOT how it is supposed to be done, but IM SCARED. I am so scared of gaining all my fat back! I mean geesh, for about 10 years prior to atkins I was always the "chubby" one. Now people refer to me as looking tall slender. It's a nice change and im scared of losing it!

if you wait till goal then the only way you know you are out of ketosis or exceeding your CCLL is weight gain and you do not want to add back those pounds you worked so hard to lose do you?
So lets be logical you are going to add about 80 cals of fruit with a nice fat to stabilize your blood sugar. if you mix the fruit in to a salad or a stew or your cereal you will not even notice anything other thern some new texture and a bit of flavor. should that new 5 net carbs be over your limit then you will need to be eatting those 5 net carbs for about 44 days before you will even add one pound so reread your DANDR chapter 12 so you know all the blood sugar issue symptoms and then have some tomorrow early in the day and see what happenes.
