    Re: Your Opinion Please...!

mslili, don't get too excited yet. I didn't lose anything for a couple weeks right after induction...lots of people don't. Since you said that you have lost inches...that is NOT a stall. Your body is going to go through adjustment periods...I frequently would see losses in inches when there was no movement on the scale. That's why we tell everyone to use their tape measure.

Would you rather the scale show a loss, but you didn't lose any inches or go down a size in clothing??? Of course not. So, take a deep breath.

Now, in regards to your menu. Since you've posted in the OWL forum, I'm assuming that you're in OWL. However your menu is not even up to the minimum of vegetables for induction. EAT MORE--particularly more vegetables. You will probably start losing again. For rung 1 I would be eating 2 cups of lettuce topped with sweet pepper, cucumber, tomatoe, jicama as a salad....and then having 1 1/2 or 2 cups of some type of vegetable at dinner....or even MORE.

Now, I realize that everyone is different....but vegetables are not a high glycemic food...which is why they are added back first. I don't know of anybody who's gotten fat off eating vegetables.

    Hope this helps.

Ugh, that wicked scale. I agree with everything Joy said, and would add maybe stay off the scale for awhile...maybe a couple weeks or a month if you can do it. Make friends with your tape measure. Notice how your clothes are fitting differently.

      And EAT YOUR VEGGIES!!

Thanks Guys!!! you made me feel ALOT better! i guess that i have been "afraid" too eat too much, because i was usually going Low Cal or Low Fat... (and you know how that goes...) but i guess now i MUST eat more (veggies that is)... and i love salads with all those goodies in them! i guess i will have to get used to eating a little MORE like you said... i am in OWL on rung 1 and i have decided to take my rungs 1 month at a time instead of a week at a time because of my CCL... but if you think that eating more veggies will help... I WILL TRY! i refuse to give up! i love this WOE and i am determined to make this my New Way Of Life! just call me Low Carb Lili...

          Re: Your Opinion Please...!

MissLili.... I was just like you. Didn't lose for my first two week or so after induction. Finally, I started moving up the OWL rungs -- adding in more veggies, eating when I was hungry, and I began to lose again. I was amazed!

I also find that when I am really hungry (and I feed that hunger), a couple of pound loss is usually right around the corner. It's like my body knows it's burning fuel, and wants more. So, if you have that feeling.... by all means, EAT!

Good luck, and keep us posted!
