  • No Post-Induction Stall Syndrome?!

Well, I was expecting Post-Induction Stall Syndrome, based on my results with Atkins last time, and many others experiences. I lost 6 pounds on the first 2 weeks of Induction, but they were all the first week and then my weight stayed the same for the 2nd week. I don't have much to lose, another 8-10 pounds, and so I was fully prepared not to see the scale budge for the next few weeks. But...I just finished Rung 1 and another 3 pounds are off! Measurements are down too, which is what I really like to see.

Just curious...how many of you experienced a little pause in weight loss right after Induction and how many did not? And did you move right into OWL or stay in extended Induction?

I stalled...big time..stayed on extended induction and still stalled..then climbed the rungs and weight steadily came off...

stalls are normal and the bible (Atkins book) talks about stalls and how to break them...

but you are doing great...keep up the good work.

I dumped 8 lbs. during my two week induction, now I"m starting my 6th week and I've only lost 2-3 lbs during the last 3 weeks on the veggie rung. (I'm fluctuating a little at this time.)
I'm accepting the fact that my body needs to adjust as the weight comes off, so I'm being gentle with myself. I know the weight will come off in time. My clothes are getting looser, I feel better and am sleeping better. So it's all good.
      Stats:

      Sex: F
      Height: 5'2"
      Highest weight ever: 170+
      Goal: 114

Good for you. Staying on Induction for more than the 14 days is good for people who are on certain medications or have certain medical problems, but for the rest of us, I don't think it is.

First time I did low carb I had no stall. I was a constant slow loser throughout. this time I have stalled but not until week 4. I am now in my third week of PISS(post induction stall syndrome) and getting a little pissed. Not really, but it was fun to write. So I guess each person, each time they do low carb can react differently.
