  • Fit Day Versus The Vegetarian

Hi, so I've been logging my foods, as best as is possible, into the fit day set up. However, it does not recognize a lot of the foods I eat. Consequently, it does not recognize the amounts of protein I am taking in. There is no such thing as vegetarian meatless crumbled sausage, or smart dog, or 'grillers'. When I log my info, I'll get fat percentages at around 80% and protein at around 1%, resulting in this information gap.

Should I even bother to continue with fit day? I like that it charts it out for you, but frankly, I don't think it works well for Vegges.

If random Joe were to look at my menus, he'd/she'd be like: and this person is losing weight??? It's quite frustrating.

Most foods I eat aren't in fitday, or at least, they don't have the correct nutritional information listed. That's why I use the custom foods feature. It's not a big pain like some people think. If you're eating that food quite often, all it takes is 3 minutes to enter in the nutritional info from the back of the package, and bam, it's saved forever.

You'll need to add your vegetarian foods as a "customized" food.

Thank you both. TOM has me flustered, and emotional, and I have had no patience for reading directions, or figuring things out - so Fitday and I had a couple of arguments about my food and I was losing. You both tag teamed and now I am feeling better about how to use that program. Thanks.
