  • Time for Pre-Maintenance!

I can hardly believe it has happened so quickly. I only started 10 weeks ago, and I have lost 15 pounds. I've been adding back 5g carbs every week in an attempt to find my CCLL, and honestly, to try to keep my weight loss moving slowly.

Well, I have been at 55g carbs this last week and still lost two more pounds (I think it is part of a little "whooshie"). The tape measure is still showing a small yet steady decline as well. I knew I would have a high CCLL because I have a low metabolic resistance, but I didn't suspect it would be on the upper end of the range. I don't even exercise that much.

I'm at the point where my weight loss really needs to slow down, so I need to add 10g carbs in, even though I haven't finished finding my CCLL. If it stalls my weight loss, that would be okay with me. I am really quite satisfied with my body right now anyway. I still have a little tummy bulge, but I don't think that's going to disappear without abdominal exercise. And I really don't want to go below 120. I would look too thin in my face.

So I know we had the discussion several weeks ago about OWL vs. PM and finding CCLL, but I have no choice any more. Finding CCLL (and CCML) is going to be finished in Pre-Maintenance now.

I am excited. I am looking forward to all the higher rungs and new choices! And making this truly a way of life instead of a short-term weight-loss program!

    attek--congratulations! You must feel estatic!

I think there are more than a few members who did not find their CCLL until pre-maintenance, so you're in good company. Enjoy your 10g increases each week. Did you make it up to some higher rungs? The rules still apply when adding a new food in...make sure you eat it only 3x the first week to see if it causes problems.

    Congratulations!

I was staying on Rung 4 to find my CCLL, but now I am planning to continue up the rungs in my CCLL/M hunt. I liked the idea of only one variable to find CCLL, but I need some higher carb foods for 10g increases.
