    Don't know CCLL??

I have been doing Atkins since mid March. I am on berry wrung of OWL. I am only 9lbs from my goal, which would indicate "pre-maintenace" but I haven't established my carb limit yet. Am I assuming correctly that I should continue until I establish CCLL no matter how close I get to my goal?

How many carbs are you eating now?

And yes, knowing your CCLL is VERY important to your Pre-Maintenance phase. Many people wrongly assume that the CCLL is the same as the CCML (Critical Carbohydrate MAINTENANCE Level): it's not. So you need to know your CCLL in order to figure out your CCML.

I am averaging 31 carbs. My work (contractor) is strenous at times. It's tough to tell if I am loosing because of carbs or work; or both. I may go for a month building decks, by myself and then have nothing for a month, so...

Okay you are eating about 31 carbs and still losing weight. Since you are already in the last 5-10 pound range which Dr. Atkins told us to move to Pre-Maintenance, you will have a couple of things to find before you hit Maintenance.

        1. Up your carbs by 10 net carbs until you find your CCLL.
        2. Go through the OWL/Pre-Maintenance CArb Ladder, if you haven't been doing so already.
        3. Last 3-4 pounds, spend it in pure Pre-Maintenance---that is, find your CCML.
