So I did induction pretty clean, however I was not good with counting my carbs, I know I had under 20 a day...as the majority of them came form cheese, and I definetly did not go over on the cheese limit. Otherwise It was a salad a day or some fresh veggies. But regardless I was not over. Now that I'm looking into switching over to OWL what should I do as far as adding 5grams at a time?

Re: No idea how many grams of carbs I've been having?
Hi Falk,
I would recommend doing another week of induction (or a few days if you really want to move up soon) and eat as you did for induction and measure everything and record your carbs. Fitday is a great tool, though the carb counter at the back of DANDR is good too. That way you will have a baseline to work from.
On the other hand if you don't wish to carry on with inducton it will probably be fine to start with an extra 5g veggies added to what you were eating. But whichever you chose you will need to start recording everything anyway in order to ensure you know where you're at - otherwise OWL will be hard and your carb count could vary day to day without you realising.
Best of luck and enjoy OWL

Excellent advice, Baarb!
The only other thing I want to say is to remember to subract your fiber from your total carbs to get your net carbs. You might already know to do this, but I just want to make sure.
If you decide to use Fitday, just let us know if you have any questions. It is a great tool, but takes some practice before it is easy and fast.

If you have a note of or can remember what you ate for the last week or so then wy not start a free account at www.fitday.com ?
You could then backtrack a week or so and enter what you did eat to see how the numbers stack up to give you a starting figure to add your 5 net carbs of rung one veggies.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
