Last night we were at a party and I saw some caffeine free diet coke. I usually stay away from it because of the aspartame (I stick with Diet Rite), but that was what was available, so I went ahead. After drinking about 1/3rd of the can, I thought, boy this tastes just like the real thing from what I can remember, and then I looked at the can closer. Yes, it was caffeine free, but it wasn't diet!
It was in the same gold color that the caffeine free diet coke was in. Inspite of eating before I got to the party, all of the sudden I started getting hunger pains! Something I have not had in quite some time! I figured it was only 10 carbs, but it was instant sugar and I had already maxed out my carbs for the day (45 net).
I just suffered through the hunger pains last night and got back on track this morning. So here is a question. If you find that you overdid your carbs one day, do you adjust your carb intake the following day. In other words, if I am hitting 45 net carbs everyday and because of one non-intentional mess up I inadvertently ingest 55 carbs, should I adjust my carb intake the following day to 35 or just keep doing the 45?
