  • Atkins "flu"

Hi, everyone. I havent been following Induction perfectly at all, but I have been doing Phase 11. Compared to the way I was eating before, in the past few days I've dropped 7 pounds. Thats great and all but heres the thing...is it POSSIBLE to have the "Atkins flu" while NOT in Induction? I really cant be eating too much more than 25 carbs a day...and its all veggies. so...I feel HORRIBLE. achy, fever, sore throat, everything flu-like u can imagine. JUST HORRIBLE! I can't barely move!

What is it? The Atkins flu? Anyone dealt with this before?

    Thanks everyone

    Re: Atkins "flu"

My atkins flu made me shaky, nauseous, sometimes dizzy and weak. I never got a sore throat though....that sounds more like the actual flu or the beginning of a cold? I've kind of been off track somewhat for the last couple weeks or so, so I'm dropping down to 25 carbs a day again tomorrow, I hope I don't experience the atkins flu again!

Hmmm, I'm not sure about the sore throat and fever. It sounds to me like you may actually be sick! Induction flu tends to give you a headache and an overall yucky feeling.
Doin' Atkins: Cuz my hips don't lie either.
