  • Fat vs. Protein Question

So, my fat ratio isn't going down, on dairy rung, the addition has seemed to introduce more fat into my count. My protein and carb levels are getting close to each other, what should I aim for as far as ratios is concerned. Feels tricky. Last 2 days on rung 2 ratios have been

    FAT 73%------66%
    CARB 7% ------9%
    Protein 13%----25%

Do I need to lower my fat intake?

    Re: Fat vs. Protein Question

Dont know about lower it, are you hitting target with calories? if not try eating some white meats or fish, they have little fat and will up your protein.

If your on par with calories then yep, maybe you need to lower your fats some, the only way i could get mine to work was to cook white meats in butter and grill red meats.

It only ever takes a slight movement to get percentages right - but IMO i wouldnt stress too much unless you stop losing.

I always find that when my fat count is as high as yours i lose more,

Thanks Emma, yes I am still losing and I doubt that would happen if I lessened the fat intake. My body thrives on fat!

Protein stays about 30% throughout the Atkins phases. So you're alittle low on protein.
