  • Birthday Suggestions

    So Monday is my birthday and we always have a little office party to celebrate, but this year my boss is confused as to what foods to have. I am only on rung 1 so I have gave veggies, chicken wings, and jello (homemade) & heavy whip cream. Ofcourse the other staff isnt to thrilled. Any one have any ideas?

    If you already passed the two weeks of induction you might try some dessert... Atkins style of course would be nice to share with your partners this lifestyle eating...

    My goal:
    I started Atkins: May 29th
    Breast: 90-90-90cm
    Waist: 78-72-66cm
    Hips: 94-87-87cm
    Body type:5' 2" inches (159cm)
    I dont think I want to lose more weight, just complete correctly the phases. I LOVE ATKINS!

      I think you'll be able to have Dom's cheesecake. It uses cream cheese, sour cream, and heavy cream, all in legal amounts.



      For snacks, you can have jalapeno poppers, chicken wings, veggies and dip, a cheese and meat platter (with crackers for non-Atkineers), and all sorts of delicious things! Here's a great recipe for jalapeno poppers:

            lol Thanks apple. I survived with no cheats. It was hard cause my dad keep saying just alittle on your birthday wont hard and I think he even got alittle upset, but I stood my ground.

              for the jalepeno poppers...try this mixture in them sometime...way better than plain cream cheese...also you can stuff it in mushrooms and bake or grill..yummm..

              8 oz cream cheese
              1/4 c. mayo
              1/2 c. cheddar cheese
              1 tsp. oregano
              1 tsp or a little more garlic (i use granulated)
              a little salt and pepper
              for a little zest try a few red pepper flakes.
              mix and stuff. fry, bake or grill the peppers or mushrooms...yummy!

              for main dish...meatloaf! (w/o crackers/oatmeal/bread crumbs) I use parmeasean cheese, 1/2 ground beef 1/2 sausage.
              So....I fell off the band wagon...BUT I'M BACK!!! More Ready than ever!

                for my friends b-day, we made her a meatloaf cake, baked it in a bundt cake pan, turned it out, and for the *frosting*, melted swiss cheese! Awesome! She loved it! Candles lit and all!

                  Well done on staying strong and sticking to your guns . Sooner or later your family will realise your dedication is not going to waiver and they will be less insistant you eat "off plan" . I am still trying to get it through to my darling mum that " a little bit wont hurt you" is very detrimental to Atkins! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BY THE WAY!

                    Good job!! It's hard to stand our ground when well meaning family and friends just want us to "enjoy" something because they are. But the more we do it, the better we get at it.
