  • What about my Calories?

    I'm thinking about going onto OWL...because i've been on extended induction for a year and stopped losing weight and I'm gonna try something differnt...

    ANYWAY QUESTION TIME:

    My BMR is 1370.4.

    Should i eat this many calories, above, or below?

    I generally eat around 1800 a day....

    Help please!
    SW: 140.8

    CW: 118.0

    GW: 110

    I would say aim for around 1570-1620 - about 200-250 above your BMR is a good start, but if your doing a lot of exercise you may need to up that.

    you may find (as lots of people do) that your weight loss will bump start when you go on to OWL anyway, cant believe youve stayed on induction for a year! OMG!

      I dont wanna eat 1600! hahaha I eat a can of tuna with my lunch every day plus I have meat for dinner and that already gets me up there... by the time i have some mayo with my tuna and some eggs for breakfast im already over 1600!!! I usually hit around 1800-1900 with mayo and a bit of cream

        i really really struggle to get about 1200 most days!

          A few eggs, some tuna for lunch with mayo... so cream in my decaf tea and a piece of meat for dinner.... gets me there easily... go ask my fit day!

            Hello. I was thinking that if you were wanting to cut your calories down, you might try cutting back the amount of mayo you use, switch brands, or making your own.

                Many people find they dont have to count calories, so see how you do when you start adding your 5 net carbs, and if you find you are losing on 1800 calories dont worry about cutting them down.

                F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
