    I've been doing atkins 6.5 months NOW last week i was almost under 190 i was 191ish. On saturday i CHEATED for the 1st time big cheat!. I was at a company pinic i had 2 hand fulls of pretzles and a Strawberry Daiquiri "augh" + bud light and yeah i got stomach cramps lol.
    It's now thursday i'm up 3 pounds all week i've been super super slugish and tired TOM is still 10 days away "not that". I acually feel ran down sick my blood sugars been staying a even 95 thou. I went right back to eating right atkins after the pinic. I'm up to 194 today. Any tips hints reasons why this happend?. I'm cutting out cream from my coffee today as cream HALF AND HALF was something new also i added some 8 days ago.
    I had lil slip ups before i would put on maybe a pound then i'ld go right back down. I feel like i might be catching a cold perhaps. So mad to see the scale GO UP!. I'm eating between 1400-1600 calories a day 35-40 carbs i had been losing just fine with that now this!!! also i'm on OWL not extended induction i posted this in the wrong area "SORRY"

    Went totally off atkins now i'm right back where I started in 2007. 75 POUNDS were lost and gained BACK AUGH.

    Did those pretzels have lots of salt on them? If so, maybe you are retaining lots of water. This may explain that "sluggish" feeling, too. Drink lots and lots of water and that water retention will be relieved and your weight will drop back down.

    Don't beat yourself up. You are doing so great and will continue to meet your weight loss goals! Don't look back only forward.

      Hey You got right back on the wagon! That is so excellent...we are human you know...to err is human...I think you are definitely retaining a lot of water. When I have salty foods (chinese or kalamata olives) I retain 4-5 pounds of water and it usually stays for 3-4 days minimum! Don't lose hope!

        Jen... I moved this thread to the OWL section for ya!

        Good for you for getting back on the wagon. Don't forget to drink masses and masses of water to flush out the carbs.
        Hope you feel better soon... and I'm sure you'll get back to losing in a short while.

          I had every intent of not just flat breaking atkins, i kinda pre planned this cheat, i knew i might over do it at the picnic THANKFULLY it only occures once a year. I do know i'll have to eat this way my whole life. Darn those pretzles had i not drank the booze i think my will power would have not broke lol. I got to drinking those pretzles were mighty tempting after that. I would guess it's not real weight i'm hoping it's water it was super hot outside i probley had not drank enough water.

            It's ok. Biggest thing is you are back on plan. To me, that is the hardest part. Hang tough, drink water, and move forward. Remember how you feel now the next time fate tempts you.

              I commend your cheat! What I mean is that if I pre-planned a cheat, you probably couldn't pry my fingers from the buffet table and I'd have at LEAST daquiri's! LOL...

              Glad to see you got right back on the wagon!
