Hi!
I haven't posted since completing induction a few weeks ago, so an update is in order. First, the stats:
Oct 9,2007 SW 208
Oct 23, 2007 197
Nov 10,2007 CW 193 ...I think (I'll explain)
So, in this first month, I've left behind 15 or so unwanted pounds. That's not even the best part of this story. The best thing that has happened to me is that somewhere in week three, I asked my husband to hide the scales from me, because I was completely obsessing over the daily weigh in. Also in this same time period, I got serious about exercising daily. I'm sure I am repeating what hundreds of you have already said....but holy moly...the exercising has made a huge change in my life in only a few short weeks. For the first time in many years I am sleeping so well at night and I wake up ready to take on the world. I don't need the scales to tell me that I feel good. I really don't even need a tape measure...the clothes I wear everyday show me that there is less of me.
Although I don't post very often, I read your posts daily. Those of you that have posted about stalls and plateaus and our bodies just trying to figure out what the heck is going on....thank you, thank you, thank you! I was kind of bummed in the week after induction when I didn't lose a single pound. As a matter of fact the day I got up, weighed and it showed a 2 pound gain, I came directly here and read. That's when I asked hubby to hide the scale from me. That explains my current 193 (I think) statistic. The last time I weighed...five days or so ago it was 193.
I will weigh again next Tuesday....if I remember...haha! But the number on the scale will only tell a fraction of the success story. Feeling great and needing new clothes is good enough for me!
Thanks for listening...
