movies?

  • movies?

    basically i have been staying at home and i am all good when i am here, but my husbands friends want to take us out to see a movie this evening. what can i take in with me - the smell of popcorn will be a huge temptation. i mean i know i wont eat it. but i would like to take something with me.

    any ideas?

    Eat a good meal before you go. By a "good" meal, I mean a nice satisfying meal with Atkins foods. Something like a steak dinner with Atkins friendly creammed spinach and mashed cauliflower faux-potatoes.

    If you have to eat a snack during the movie, after having that big dinner, then bring along something like cheese cubes, pepperoni slices, etc. And really anything that's appropriate for you to eat on your OWL Rung is something you can bring along and eat. Or wait until you get home and eat something like frozen berries and whipped cream (if you are on the berry rung.)

      I just went to the movies today and didn't touch the popcorn.. Just make sure you have a filling meal before you go.. We ate at a restaurant and I had a bunless burger and a salad.. I was plenty full..

        I agree to eat a good meal before you go. When I go to the movies I take some...pork skins, cheese slices, italian salami, and it may not be legal but it keeps me away from the sweet...diet soda.

          Are you to the nut rung? I love pistachio's, just be sure to tuck a plastic sandwich bag in your purse to put the shells into.

            its sad that nothing at the movie theater is induction friendly.
            I have yet to sneak in anything yet, but in my youth , my dad and I always brought food. and in college, we brought in adult beverages. so its in my blood to sneak in food in theaters where it is not allowed, but i have not yet done it.
            Its like the joke, "I got thrown out of a movie theater for bringing my own food, beside I haven't had a barbecue in a long time"
