  • Starting over?

Hi All, Well I did it. I gained 6 pounds since November.
Didn't have the self control with all the goodies they would bring to work.
Chocolate covered Strawberries, cookies galore. Ones I've never seen or tasted before. Allot of food. I did fairly well but gave in and here I am 6 pounds heavier. I hate it and as you know just one makes those cravings come back and it's a downward spiral.
So my question is this...Do I go on induction for two weeks or just pick up where I left off? I think I need a boost to get going but not sure. I'm getting on that treadmill.
    Thanks for your help.

Colleen, you can go back to induction if you want. There are a group of us over in the Second Time Around Club forum that just started yesterday (or today). Come join us.

This is my opinion...but at the very least go back to rung 1. If you are going to over do things, over do vegetables as they are so important anyway. I can get into ketosis eating very high levels of carbs as long as they are from veggies and not dairy/nuts/convenience foods (olives, avocado, cream, etc.) You might not even need to do a full two weeks, but just do a low level of carbs until you get into ketosis. It's up to you.

      I agree with Valid.

However the most important thing to do is to figure out why you fell off and you might even question whether or not the 6 pound weight gain was worth it. That's 6 pounds you need to re-lose to get back to where you were when you fell off. In other words, 6 steps backwards.
