  • Trouble reducing fat on Rung 2

I'm having a little bit of trouble reducing the fat in my diet on Rung 2. I've taken away a tablespoon of butter and an ounce of cheese to give me 2 oz of cheese today, and I'm still at 65% fat, 29% protein, and 6% carbs.

My breakfat sausage is pretty fatty, but for lunch I plan on eating a turkey burger patty, and for dinner a 3 oz grilled chicken breast, both of which are pretty low fat. I'm only having one tablespoon of mayo, 3 tablespoons of ranch, and a table spoon of sour cream. No butter today.

The rest of my day is one egg, my 4 cups of veggies, and my cup of carb control yogurt to start out Rung 2.

Since I should start reducing my fat intake on this rung, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can reduce more fat without giving up my dressing?

    Thanks so much!

I'm on rung 4 and still eat a lot of fat - it's almost always over 65%. I'm not sure that is a problem. I've certainly never stopped losing because it it.

Thanks for your response Kate! I think I overthink this WOE a lot because I've done it so wrong in the past that I'm determined to be as spot on as I can this time around.

I never have a problem with fat, but if my protein goes over i'm in trouble!

Thanks Emma, I've been aiming for under 30% protein, and it's been working well so far.
