  • Last 5-10lbs in Pre-Maint??

I only have 5-10(120-125)lbs to lose and am just finishing up with Induction today. I will be starting OWL tomorrow. How can I do it in Pre-Maint if I haven't gone through OWL yet???Will this affect my lose in anyway?? Sorry, if this is a dumb question, but I just have always heard and read that you need to be in Pre-Maint at the last 5-10lbs.TIA

I am 3lbs from goal and have not climbed the all the rungs yet..time just got away from me and I did not really feel the need as I was enjoying the whole reintroducing foods...I just opted with the advice of others to just keep doing what I am doing and take my time ...if I loose a couple more lbs it will not kill me..and if I gain I have the cushion ..doing ALL the steps is important IMHO...good luck!!! and congrats on the end of induction!

Remember the aim of OWL is to help you learn habits which will allow you to maintain. So you do need to go to OWL in order to evaluate the foods which stall you, and what your CCLL will be etc. Enjoy OWL, It has been a great exerience to add new and exciting foods. :wave

Go through the rungs of OWL, but up your carbs by 10 each time, rather than 5 until you reach your CCLL.

        Have fun!

I agree with the others that you need to go through OWL to determine how you react to foods and find your CCLL. Then go through pre-maintenance. That phase is to train you how you will be eating to maintain for life. Once you graduate from there you'll have the necessary skills to keep on track.

          Good luck you lucky duck!!!!!!!

Now this is a great idea!!! I had not thought of this ...I am so slow at trying the new stuff because there is so much food to add!

The best part of this is savoring foods I took for granted in the past!....allowing one at a time enjoying it to the fullest and then adding another...this part is absolutely great ....I am going to take this advice and bump 10grams at a time instead of 5 thanks Belinda (as I barge in here!!!)
