  • Need a push

    I really need to move onto owl!! the cravings are returning ( just small ones, but cravings none the same ) ( no cheating though)...I yearn for yogurts, and fruit flavors
    The first week I tried Rung one I consistantly gained a lb a day until about day 4 and I freaked out and said "no way"... HELP!! ( ps the added vegies were spinach and green peppers)

    are you exercising regularly? If so that can contribute to your small weight gain but you should not be weighing every day. I cannot tell you how important that is. read my journal. The O.W.L. works thats why its the second phase. Your weight fluxuated day to day thats why I only weigh every other week if that. I'm really trying not to weight until the end of my 6 week exercise challenge. So here is your PUSH. If you do not move on I'm sorry you are really not doing the Atkins diet. He does not advocate staying in Induction for the duration. Don't take this the wrong way but you are setting yourself up for failure. Sooner or later you will get bored and the cravings will return. Look at it this way... the majority of weight you will lose will be lost in the O.W.L. Its really the only way to success.

      I agree. I was hesitant to move on after two weeks because I had the mindset that I wouldn't lose as much weight. Not true! It wasn't until I started adding in veggies on rung 1 when the weight came down again. Plus, it is great to feel liberated in more food choices. Step over the line and progress on in this diet. These phases wouldn't exist if they didn't work. Good luck~!
