  • This is so strange of a feeling for me.

    I'm having dinner over tonight and I'm making spaghetti because everyone requests it. I think its my special secret ingredient, (I'll tell you if you really want to know). Anyway normally I would be so ready to gorge on it. The sauce has been cooking all day and I just got back from the store with all the fixins, (i.e. garlic italian bread, salad crutons, ect). Anyway what I'm looking most forward to is the salad (without the crutons). I'll be able to eat in a social setting in my own home without eating what everyone else is eating. How about that! Its also funny that except for a whole boiled egg on my lunch salad I'm not really even that hungry for meat. hmmm.

      Yeah, what's the secret ingredient???

      If it's something legal, you could have the sauce on shiritake noodles or spaghetti squash, just a thought.

        know what it sounds nasty but my husband get these blister like things on his tongue from the acid in the sauce every time he eats spaghetti. So I add a cup of plain instant folgers coffee to the sauce. It make the spaghetti have a great interesting but good flavor but it cuts the acid or ph. so no more acid burns on his tongue. I also add sugar to it but I think most people do that too. My ingredeints are not legal and there is nothing legal about my sauce but its good!

          Wow, I've never heard of adding coffee. I've heard people will add unsweetened cocoa sometimes. I've heard people say they add sugar to their sauce but I've never done it. I make a mean speghetti sauce also but it's made with legal stuff

            well when the time comes I would sure like to have that one!! Course my family might revolt if I changed their spaghetti!

              and since coffee is on the other end of the spectrum of the P.h. scale from spaghetti sauce. it neutralizes the acid
