I'm trying to find the carb count for large artichokes and cannot seem to find anything except for artichoke hearts. Even fitday has only the counts for artichoke hearts. I like to steam a large artichoke and eat the steamed underside of the leaves before eating the heart but am wondering about the carb count. I love this as a snack-it is a vegetable, I can dip the leaves in butter if I feel like it, and it takes a long time to eat. Although I thought it would be low carb I am now wondering. I am also interested in the fiber count so I can really see how much damage it is doing to my OWL.

Re: Artichoke carb count?
Thanks a lot blue996 and quotidianlight. Don't know why I couldn't get anything but the artichoke hearts. Probably me. Oh dear--these have a lot more carbs than I imagined--8 net per choke. Will have to save them for a splurge. Glad I know now.
