  • hunger?

I have found that I might have to force myself to eat as much as I should.
I've never been able to eat well in the mornings.. but now even at dinner time, I haven't been hungry.

I forced myself to eat some veggies last night to incorporate some carbs, but that's all I could eat.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    What Rung are you on?

What's your CCLL or what carb level are you currently eating at?

        Re: hunger?

I am totally in it right now and have been for the past few weeks. I have to force myself to eat at times. Breakfast is particularly hard for me and one thing I have found that helps me is quiche. It is light and fluffy and I can carry a muffin in my car on the way to school. Sometimes, I like to eat deviled eggs in the morning for breakfast. Sometimes I feel like I eat and eat and I put in my foods in fit day and it will only be 1000 calories and I have to eat again! I strive never to be below 1200 because I don't want my body to think it is starving.

I took a look at your Journal Stats http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...8&page=2&pp=10

And you're not even eating Induction style, let alone OWL Rung 3. From what you've been posting, you've been eating about 20 net carbs daily and about 2 cups of vegetables per day. It's no wonder you don't feel hungry----you're probably in deep ketosis, like those newbies who do Induction incorrectly for the first week.

I noticed on one day you ate 2 "burgers", perhaps you are filling up on too much meat/protein at your meal? If so, eat only 1 serving of meat/protein making sure you get those vegetables in. Remember, OWL Rung 1 is 5 net carbs of Induction veggies in addition to the 3 cups of veggies you had been eating.

As for your peanut butter snack....eat it with veggies--celery, cucumber, jicama, etc. that will add healthy carbs to your diet in addition to fiber, vitamins and minerals.

Yeah. I've realized my carb counts are low...that's why this hunger thing is an issue. I just can't seem to stomach eating all those veggies in replacement of a meal every time I'm not too hungry.I kind've want to experiment with other rungs to see if I can add a little bit more carbs, but I'm not sure if that would be cheating or not.......

            i dunno.

Have you thought of cooking your salad veggies to make them into a smaller portion? A whole red pepper cooks down to a few spoonfuls and spinach nearly disappears!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

You're not replacing a "meal" with veggies. You are adding veggies to your meal.

Ditto to what Eliz has said.

I know I'm not replacing, but when I simply am not hungry enough to eat a meal, that's when I would eat veggies... just so I know I'm adding carbs somehow...

Are you eating those veggies with some fat/protein or on their own?
