  • I need some help

    Hello everyone. I'm not sure if this goes under OWL or not, but since I AM in OWL, or was or whatever, I figured I'd post here.

    I need help. Im in a huge funk I'm still on plan but I fee llike I can bearly hang in there anymore. I don't crave junk food, but i really miss my yogurt,kefir and nuts. i miss berries too. I just had a handful of brazil nuts and even though it's not so bad, Im slowly getting off track. I want to do this right and im finding it hard. I was happily climbing up the carb ladder and then i got "stalled' and as soon as I lowered my carbs again, I lost 2 lbs, my weight is now 256. What can I do? I have NO motivation, i feel like exercising would be useless, my goal seems so soooooooo far away, but yet im so unhappy with my body, im just BLAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dunno what to do. Im just tired of the food I eat, I have been creative and all..............I just cant stay on induction lever cabs anymore, I cant

    I probably sound like a big baby, but it's how I feel.

    Is it possible to stay at 20g of carbs and introduce other foods like dairy?

    if you really need to stay at 20 net carbs, you can still climb the ladder, up to a certain point.
    obviously the high carb/starch foods would be a problem since you wouldnt have a lot of room there but dairy, nuts, berries shouldnt be a problem.
    also have u tried out the 25 net carbs long enough?
    your weight will go up and down regardless of the net carbs, thats just the nature of the beast (water retention and all) so if u only gave owl a few days, try 2 weeks or longer on 25 net carbs and see if u still gain or maybe keep losing.

    since u seem to have gained and lost the 2 lbs fairly quickly, i doubt it was real weight gain but rather water that got stuck for a few days.

      If you were losing weight as you were climbing the ladder, then you were on the right track. When you "stalled", it might have been that you found your CCLL. In that case, you should have lowered your carbs to the last level at which you were losing weight. If you resumed the weight loss, then you found your CCLL.

      For example, if you were losing weight at 30 net carbs, then stopped losing at 35, you drop back to 30 net carbs. See how you do. If you lose weight at 30, then that's your CCLL and you could continue to move up the ladder trying out different foods while not exceeding your CCLL.

      Going back to Induction level carbs is the wrong thing to do during OWL, if you haven't found your CCLL.
