    Grape Tomatoes

Sadly, I think that Grape Tomatoes may be a sugar trigger for me. :no

I had these as part of my diet last week, and they've brought on sweet cravings. I know they are higher in sugar than other tomatoes, so I've only limited my daily intake to 1/4 cup, but I think that these cannot be a regular part of my diet, no matter how small the serving. Maybe once in a while, but not regularly.

Congratulations on finding a trigger food! Tomatoes are one of those iffy vegies, with them technically being a fruit and higher in sugars than the basic veggies.

I have a feeling that red peppers will also fall into that category for me too.

I read an agricultural bulletin over a year ago about those grape tomatoes....Something to the effect that the grape tomatoes are bred to contain as much sugar as a regular sized tomato, which is why I try to avoid them.

But again, congrats on finding a trigger food. Tomatoes and eggplant are my downfall because if I eat them too frequently I over eat other foods. So I'm very careful about them.

I love em.. I limit myself to 5 in a salad, and don't eat them everyday. They don't seem to be a trigger for me.
