I think I know what I need to do.......... but.......... :help

I restarted induction 1/3/05 and lost 6 lbs in the 2 weeks (YAYYY) I am not at all disappointed in that, even though I lost 10 lbs last time.

However, since I have moved on to OWL and been working out 5-6 days a week, I have gained weight, no inches lost either. I thought I was making progress when I weighed on Sunday and was down to 145.5 (1/2 lb after 6 weeks) but this morning I'm up to 149 (I don't have TOM so can't blame that).

Since reading about all the confusion with OWL, I realized I have done some things wrong, although I had thought with all my exercising that it wouldn't be that big a deal.

So I thought, to not give up, I would do a 3-5 day induction just to make sure I'm still in ketosis, or get back in if I'm not. A few days on the veggie rung since I know I didn't screw up on that rung, then back to the dairy rung because I know I messed up on that one from everything that I've been reading. Also in January, I didn't have time to input my menu daily on fitday. Now that things have slowed down a bit, I think I'll be able to stay on top of that.

Any thoughts? Advice? Thanks in advance :wave

    Debbie,
Your plan sounds fine. What changes are you making when you dairy this time?

      Elleth, thanks for the reply.

When I started the dairy rung, I was excited to incorporate cottage cheese back into my diet. I ate it everyday on that rung instead of 3 days, then something else, then everyday the next week if I wanted.

Now that I started nuts, I'm doing the same thing. The only thing I have at home is walnuts and I've been eating them everyday in my salad.

I found some low-carb yogurt at the store yesterday and want to try that alternating with the cottage cheese. I think cheeses are a staller for me so I try to consume as little as possible.

I don't want to give up. It's hard for me to encourage this WOL to other people when I can't get my own results.

Debbie - what was is that you did wrong when you moved to the Dairy rung?

if you think the cottage cheese is the staller for you go back like you said to induct for a few days get your ketosis going like you said then eat the veggie rung for a week ans see what is going on. then making sure everything else stays the same try having cottage cheese say 2 net carbs and remove 2 net carbs of something else since you are sure the net carb number you are at isn't a staller then if you are having digestive, craving or weight gain issues you know for sure it is the cottage cheese triggering something ( could be those nasty yeasties could be a lactose intolerance( then add back whatever you took out and remove the cottage cheese and sit for a week. if the problems clear up you know that container of CC is a problem for you and you can test other brands or other dairy stuff.
If you up your carbs 5 net then you don't know if it was the carb increase of the foods and since you already know that us the current stopping place test one at a time either the foods or the total net carbs. if you want to test the total net carbs just add 5 more net carbs of your veggies and see how you do after a week or two. if you are still losing then you know you can handle that carb level and it was a food issue.

          HAppy low carbing.
