Ideas to get more veggies in??

    I live in the heart of yuppie suburbia - and far enough from farmers markets to make it prohibitive to go regularly.

    They used to have a local one during Summer months at our township building but I think the person who organized it quit and we haven't had one for the past couple years.... :sadblinky

      Then ..... next time you find it fresh, cut it in cubes, boil it for 2 or 3 minutes, drain and freeze it!

            Last 10 you do not want jack-o-lantern pumpkins as they are a gord and have more water and are tougher. you want sugar pumpkins or pie pumpkins for roasting or cooking.

              Interesting...I never knew there was a difference. Then again, I always thought the pumpkin pie pumpkins had an aluminum outer skin...

                rofl yep canned is fine but watchout for those with that flacky crustiy inner skin after the aluminum one.
