  • Starting OWL today! and....

    Hi there everyone!
    I am starting OWL today,after quitting Extended Induction half way through(as advised by other members), i have 15lbs to go.
    I weighed myself today, and the scales have budged by 1/2lb, so thats good.

    I am starting to get obsessed by the scales though,and its getting me down when i lose no weight. I am going to hide the scales and weigh myself once a month while i am on Rung 1.

    I am just going to make diffrent soups,and casseroles etc;to get in my extra veg!
    Can anyone advise which vegetables to stay away from as too high in carbs?

    As you are going to add the extra veg in 5 net carb portions you can choose any you like from the allowed list. If they are high in carbs like brussels sprouts you can only have a small amount (1/2 cup), if less carby like mushrooms you could have a larger serving (2 1/2 cups).

    Look at the 'Power of Five' thread here for quantities of each veg.

    If you choose different ones from the ones you have already been eating then remember to only add them alternate days for the first week and have ones you ahve been eating on induction for the other days.

        Danielle,

        Rung 1 in OWL is an additional 5 net carbs of the induction veggie list. This includes the list in the book under salad veggies and other veggies. Happy OWLing!
