  • Can someone check my progression please =)

Hi, can I please trouble someone to check how I am going ..

    REcap:
    Started Induction Jan 9th 2005
    Started OWL Jan 30th

During Induction I lost 7 lbs and about 7 inches

I have been on OWL for 25 days and I have lost 3 lbs and just 2 inches.

I was never hungry during induction but now I am waking during the night starving and mornings are often difficult. I haven't been eating anything that I shouldn't (Except some wine 10 days ago but I flushed that out with gallons of water!).
I haven't added any new foods during OWL just upped the veggies (broccoli and salad greens and peppers). I have also lowered my milk compared to during induction and use cream and water in the decaf coffee.

    This is the BMR
"1452.5 calories per day is your Basal Caloric Rate.
2178.8 calories per day recommended for your Active Caloric Rate
No less then 1200 calories per day recommended for safe consistent Weight Loss"

I admit I am always around 1000 calories never more.

This is my fitday where I enter every single thing I eat

I think I am sort of stalling but I don't know what to do.

    Thanks in advance

Jennie, I don't see anything wrong, but I don't think your eating enough, I really can't tell.
On this plan you usually lose 5 to 10 % of what you want to lose during induction. So if you wanted to lose 50 pounds, 2.5 to 5 is what you can expect and then, you will lose about a .5 to 2 pounds a week, depending on lots of factors. So, really, you are ahead of the game.
Another thing, the saying on this board is that weight loss is not constant. Some folks lose a bit every week, othres lose nothing for weeks and then drop 10 pounds. Thats what I do and its frustating as ****, but my body likes to wait for the Whoosh Fairy to come.
I would suggest that you go and find a tight pair of jeans and try them on, I know you won't believe it but they will be smaller and you will get wide eyed.

Hi Jenny, I was looking at your stats and you're 5' 8" and 132 lbs and very close to your goal weight. The last few lb's do come off very slowly. it took me 10 months to lose my 26 lbs, the first 15 were quick..the rest took months.

the other thing you may want to reconsider is your goal weight? I actually ended up changing mine from 115 to 120 as I didn't realize until i got close that 115 wasn't really reasonable. Maybe your body is telling you something? At 5'8" your goal weight may not be reasonable.

that said however I know everyone is different and has a different build..that's just my opinion. it may be an ok weight for you. But you may want to consult a friend or family member about how you look now and how much more they reasonably think you need to use. Maybe you can concentrate on toning and bodyfat rather than pounds.

My last 5 lbs or so took about 5 months for me to lose! Though working out I was still losing inches and toning up and my body was still transforming ( and still is!) without losing the pounds.

Thank you both very much for answering.

I tried on some skirts as you suggested Desert and .. yes they look better than at Xmas .. at least I can get the zips up !

I understand completely what you're saying Sadie .. but I am very light boned and I have been between 54-56 kilos (now I am 60 ... down from 64) for about 20 years .. all my clothes and work suits are Euro size 42 and now I am a skirt size 44 :sadblinky.
I realise one changes over the years but I am now quite slim again all over my body except hips (love handles so gross!) buttocks and thighs. So basically I look very out of proportion - like pear shaped.

I will keep going as I really like this diet and the whole philsophy I have learnt so much. I was a complete lo-fat freak .. living on air basically.

Then isn't life strange .. most people eat when they are sad .. but I got a lot of things straight in my life after 20 years .. bought a lovely house .. changed jobs ... met a lovely guy ...... and THEN started eating !!! I am just so relaxed.

Anyhow --- better NOT to complain LOL

        Thankx again

        Have a nice weekend
