For example, clothing with a stretch (knits, t-shirts, Spandex blends) will conform to your body due to that stretch. But clothes that don't stretch (broad cloth cotton, linen, silk, taffeta) will hang more loosely if you are smaller. When I was losing weight/inches, I noticed that the t-shirts and stretchy shorts I wore fit me about the same as when I started. However, the silk blouses and fitted skirts I wore to the office were looser. I also noticed that the t-shirts didn't fit "loosely" until I had lost about 40 pounds and plenty of inches.
Agree. I lost 50 pounds and was still in my 3X clothes....i had stretched those suckers so much!!

YES! This is such a good idea. The scale is not a good gauge for fat loss. I always kept a pair of jeans that were 2 sizes too small, and loved watching something that I couldn't button become so large that I had to put it into the giveaway box. I re-started Atkins in February of 2007 in a size 16 jeans, and made goal in November of that year wearing a size 4 of those same brand jeans. Each time that I was able to get into the small jeans comfortably, I got a new pair that was too tight.

I agree about the weight training. I do cardo everyday. I notice the biggest
results with firming up and losing inches by weight training. I do a strength training
class at the YMCA 2-3 times a week. Challenge yourself and increase the weight frequently. Don't get to comfortable.

I agree with weight training. In fact, after working out with cardio, cals and weights since 6/15 I recently started to increase all of the above including heavier weights. Seeing improvement like Valid Rouge says.

I agree. I've started doing a combo of yoga, strength training and aerobics. I've still not gone on the scale, but I've definitely noticed a change in the way my clothes fit, especially my jeans.
