  • What stalls you???

    I'm in the process of trying to figure out what exactly is stalling me.

    As I look through everyone's posts I'm noticing different things stall different people.

    Some I have noticed:
    Cheese
    Cream Cheese
    Coffee
    Pork Rinds
    Anything with Aspartame


    So what have you found stalls you?
    And do you have to eat a lot of that thing to stall or will just a bite or two do it??

    Many people post about stalling when they have not been '4 weeks without losing inches or pounds', so first you need to make sure you ARE in a 'stall' before worrying about dropping foods that affect other people in their weightloss journey.

    How long have you been at the same weight without losing inches, Tash?
    Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

    F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )

      Hi Elizellen,

      I am going to sound a bit silly but i have been on Atkins for nearly 4 weeks (3 weeks on induction) and literally haven't lost a thing.

      I'm worried that Atkins just isn't for me and my body type.

      I have cut out everything Dr Atkins says but to be specific - my 2 x Lattes per day, 2 slices of white honey toast, alcohol (about 2.5 bottles of wine per week) all sweets, icecream and chips etc and my noodles or rice for lunch and dinner.

      I would have thought even if I wasnt following religiously that I would drop some weight quite quickly, but that isn't the case.

      Maybe I should cut out the 2 slices of cheese I snack on in the afternoons?
      Or stop eating this recipe for lunch most days (I dont add the parmesan cheese and replace the cream cheese with sour cream): Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes

        Maybe you can list your full menu including quantities in our 'Review my Menu' forum in case there is anything that stands out as maybe being a problem?
