O how I dread Halloween already. Candy floating everywhere and I would love to snatch up a piece. I am insane for chocolate. I thought I would start this thread to maybe get some suggestions or tricks on how to get through this first sweet holiday.

Also, I did have some one give me some advice....for trick or treaters....buy candy that you know you don't like (hard for me) or at least candy you can say no to ....that might help with temptations.

for me... just don't do halloween. i haven't done it for many years.
one suggestion would be give out dimes or some kind of change to kids. that has to be cheaper than candy and you aren't contributing to the sugarfest and obesity of kids.

If your neighborhood does trick or treating, instead of giving away candy, give stickers or novelty shaped pencil erasers from those dollar stores. That way, you won't have bags of candy hanging around and you can go to sleep knowing you aren't helping to make childhood obesity worse.
