  • Is it okay to stay put on Rung 1 ?

I am wondering this. I am comfortable at rung 1 right now, I have finally got into a routine with planning/shopping and preparing food. Feeling good and steadily loosing 5lb a week--ish.

Added in plenty of veggies, cut back on the snack cheese, plenty of water etc. I am taking new medication Fluoxatine so I am finding it hard to eat, but am forcing myself to at least twice a day. Its a constant struggle to eat(and not feel sick).

Is it okay to stay as I am until the new year? I am struggling to eat what I am allowed now, but comfortable with what I can have/prepare. Adding anything else would really throw me out of wack

Am taking multivitamin and seeing my GP weekly regarding my medication

    Any help would be fantastic..

    Thanks

You could if you want. But I would advise that you find your CCLL if you plan to stay on Rung 1. Once you find your CCLL, it will take a TREMENDOUS amount of anxiety and pressure off your back because you know exactly how many carbs you can eat daily and still lose weight.

I think a great many people cheat themselves and put themselves through alot of unnecessary anxiety by not finding their CCLL. If your CCLL is 50 and you've been eating only 15-20 for some reason or the other, you've cheated yourself out of 30-35 carbs. Plus if your CCLL is 50 and you've been eating only 15-20 and one day you "mess up" and eat 30, you'll be anxious that those extra carbs might have messed up your loss and you'll have to go back to Induction and you don't know what you need to do and you're so depressed etc. etc. etc.

So do yourself a favor and find your CCLL if you are planning to stay on Rung 1 for the next 2 months. A good way to get those extra veggie carbs is to take them in the form of sauces or soups.

      Thank you

I cannot eat much right now, its going to incredibly hard to go up a rung. Lucky if I can force something down a couple times a day and keep it down

Discussed this with my doctor, he said I MUST continue with my medication and ride out the sickness/loss of appetite.

      Will check out some soups

Soups are a great way of adding veggies! Also you can sauté a cup of chopped sweet red or yellow peppers or sliced onions and they shrink down into a few spoonfuls to make a great garnish or sauce for meat.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
